Workstations without the cubicle feel.
The trend continues towards lower panel heights in the “traditional” cubicle workstation. The average 66″ high or taller panels are being specified for new offices less and less all the time. Today, we’re finding 42″ tall panels to be much more common, with more glass included.
All of this falls into both the LEED initiatives to incorporate more natural light and better airflow, as well as the trend towards more collaborative work spaces.
Management like the lower panels heights as they can see staff more readily and keep tabs on what’s going on. Staff appreciates the lower heights because it truly does create a much less claustrophobic office space.
Owners and purchasers are happy because the smaller panels also represent a significant cost savings.
All around, the “new” workstations are light, airy, modern and still exceptionally functional.
